Message from Kajal's mom, Tina, from Kajal's Facebook:

Hi everyone

I just wanted to give an update on Kajal and what's been happening. Unfortunately, after coming home, Kajal spiked a fever due to reflux and aspiration and we had to re-admit her to the hospital. Just two days ago she got the procedure done to control the reflux and is doing well. 

On the bone marrow front, my husband and I just had a meeting with all of her doctors and the transplant team. The marrow team is going to start the process to have the match ready. Her other doctors are going to work on making sure she has no more strokes and try to control the vasculitis and our job is to get her stronger with continued rehab. As we all know there are risks involved in doing the bone marrow transplant but with so many people behind Kajal, I am hopeful that things will turn out okay. Please continue to pray for her recovery and THANK YOU for all of your continued support.

James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
